This committed service welcomes an experienced Speech Pathologist to join their warm and supportive team as they endeavor to change the lives of their clients. This role boasts opportunities: Grow in your desired direction (leadership, clinical supervision and more!). You will be working with a small, friendly team providing clinic-based and community service delivery to children and/or adults with a range of diagnoses.
The Role:
- Undertake assessments and provide intervention, liaising with families & other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct a variety of speech and language assessments and planning for evidence-based interventions.
- The interventions will be carried out in client homes and in clinic.
- Collaborate with your local and wider team to enable a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach for best service delivery to clients
- Coupled with assisting the individual needs of each client, families will receive regular training and tools to achieve therapy goals in the home and community- Develop and lead group programs for parents and support staff if, and when required.
- Provide support and guidance to evolving SLPs.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology (hold a Speech Pathology Australia Membership).
- Clinical experience working with children and/or adults.
- Good written and verbal communication with the ability to build rapport with clients and families to ensure that therapy is fun and engaging.
- Ability to work both well in a team and independently
