This service is pioneering new, innovative methods to assist clients in their recovery and welcomes a Fully Registered Psychologist to take part in their unique recovery model.
This is a highly collaborative role as through experience, this provider has discovered that leveraging individual’s unique personal and professional skills leads to the most favourable outcomes for clients. For passionate psychologists dedicated to helping clients surmount complex challenges, this position promises a sense of fulfillment and empowerment.
Rather than working independently to assess and case manage your client, you will engage in a comprehensive approach. Dependant on your professional interests, your role may entail: Conduct initial psychological assessments, followed by ongoing assessments throughout the course of your client’s recovery program. This allows you to tailor their therapeutic journey, working closely with a multi-disciplinary recovery team. You are also given the option to participate in the client’s recovery journey through providing therapy. Ie, this role can be an assessment-based role, a therapy-based role, or a hybrid position.
The Role:
- Deliver a range of psychological assessments to clients following a workplace injury or motor vehicle accident – psychological functional capacity pre, post and during treatment.
- Determine the scope and direction of your client’s therapy treatment plan
- Provide therapy to clients in-line with their therapy plan
- Liaise with stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team
- Identify the effectivity of your client’s program and offer advice on possible changes
- Trauma presentations are predominant; you will have a team of senior psychologists to support and guide you with the latest evidence-based techniques for this type of recovery
- Completion of notes, assessments and/or reports.

To be successful:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full AHPRA General Registration
- Experience in a similar role, with exposure to performing psychological assessments
- SIRA registration or willingness to obtain
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a friendly team
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Good relationship-building ability and negotiation skills.
